  uncrate - the online buyer's guide for men - while not technically a store itself, the guys find all the coolest toys for men of taste.. target - who doesn't like target?.

  amazon - dude, they have, like, everything!.

  outpost - at least to check prices before i head to fry's.. new falcon publications - esoterica.

  Dealing with my mother

  my mom knows that i really don't believe that the jw's have the 'truth' and she is always telling me to just give it more time and i'll snap out of it.

  she thinks i'm going through a stage right now and i'll 'grow out of it' and eventually i'll want to return to the religion.

  i try to reasure her that such hopes are futile, but often my conversations go like this:.

  Why don't Dub families have pets?

  out of a dozen or so dub families that live near me i can only think of one with a dog.

  at mt ex-congo, i only knew of two families with pets, dogs/cats.

  the non-dub pet owning percentage around me is near 100%.

  No I wanted to join the Navy (and dance with Cher on the deck of an aircraft carrier) but the Elders caught me the evening before my interview. They talked me out of it then made me go on FS the next morning so that I wouldn't sneak off to the recruitment centre and they checked to make sure i was out.

  I have mixed feelings about military service now, I've found myself crying in the war memorial in Hyde park, Sydney Today I don't have much time for glory hounds with guns, my idea of a war hero is someone like Simpson http://www.anzachouse.com/simpson.shtml Do yourselves all a great big favor and read up on this bloke then go over to here and sign up http://www.anzacs.net/Simpson.htm

  The frightening thing about this kid (and I MEAN frightening) is that one day hes going to grow up and get himself a wifey. Whats he going to do to her if she does something to piss him off?!?

  God forbid he has a baby that cries at night and keeps him awake!

  That kid definitely needs anger therapy before he hurts someone badly

  Did you ever feel in danger due to extreme weather?

  did you ever find yourself in extreme weather conditions extreme cold, heat, winds, rain etc .

  i was once caught out driving during a hurricane, some things were flying around but fortunately i survived.

  I once got stuck in the middle of a massive bridge between Italy and Austria, due to a sudden heavy downpouring of snow, the weight of the snow broke the windscreen wipers and the lack of viability meant we couldn't drive off the bridge. We were stuck there for over an hour thinking we were going to freeze to death.
